Bangladeshi Blogger Arrested for Criticizing Islam on Facebook

Bangladeshi blogger was arrested last month for allegedly “insulting Islam” on Facebook posts. The detainee is Mohan Kumar Mondal, a political activist and chief of LEDARS, a local environmental NGO. Lao Court Jails Activist to Five Years Over Critisising Government on Facebook

Bounthanh Khammavong, a 52-year-old Polish activist of Lao heritage, was sentenced to five years imprisonment over criticising the Lao government on Facebook posts. According to the Radio Free Asia‘s report, the prominent democracy activist was arrested in the capital Vientiane in June 2015.
